BOB'S PACIFIC BEACH HOUSE
When I'm away, I miss this house terribly.
It has a wide, high bluff ocean view,
which you can enjoy inside through the
big picture windows. Or wander out onto
the deck that runs the length of the
house for the added experience of the
sea breeze and sound of the waves.
The interior of the house is finished with
the finest materials: the most gorgeous
rich Brazilian hardwood floors, art glass
lighting throughout the house, a master
bathroom layered in Travertine tile with
double-headed shower and tile bench,
and a luxury kitchen with granite counter
tops, cherry wood cabinets, and
stainless appliances.
We've furnished the house for large
groups with 3 king size beds and a
queen sleeper sofa, a dining table for 8,
and large sofa sectional.
The house is outfitted with electronics
for your entertainment: wireless Internet,
3 HDTVs with cable HD programming, DVD
players, and a stereo in the great room
with four in-wall surround sound
speakers. We've provided a collection of
books, family games, and toys for young
kids.
The beach is an easy 0.4 mile walk away.
There are two routes. South down 1st
Street you cross the old railroad bridge,
pass by the town gazebo, turn into Main
Street where the shops are found, and
on to Pacific Beach State Park. You can
also drive here and park. To the north of
the house you can reach the Analyde
Gap Road, where you can walk, bike, or
drive down right onto the beach. Here
you can drive north on the sand for four
miles to the Moclips River. In the
off-season, you can drive south to Joe
Creek in the state park. The damp sand
at the upper end of the beach drives just
like asphalt. It makes a nice, vigorous
three mile loop walk to go down one of
these routes and return to the house by
the other.
